Jonathan Hawes, Director of Loughton Self Drive, joined 3,000 adventurers in a gruelling 100 km event along the spectacular Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site.

The Jurassic Coast Challenge is one of the toughest events in the Ultra Challenge Series, with more than 2,600 m of ascent across the full 100 km - that’s the equivalent of 2.5 climbs of Mount Snowdon!
Jonathan completed the challenge in 23 hours and 46 minutes, ploughing on despite a knee injury at the 80 km mark of the course. His heroic efforts have helped him raise more than £1,300 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team at Loughton Self Drive are no strangers to fundraising for their chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support. Previous efforts include parachute jumps, The Gherkin Challenge, and abseiling down Battersea Power Station.
As Jonathan explained, “There are not many people in this world not affected by cancer in some shape or form.”
